What do you learn in this chapter about Maycomb, Atticus Finch and his family?
Maycomb is a poor town; Simon Finch ,who originated from England, moves to Maycomb- which is a town whom everyone is related either by marriage or blood. Atticus is a lawyer, but he does not like criminal law, Atticus is a descendant of a plantation owner. His family stay on the land after the civil war until Atticus and his brother left.
What do you learn about Dill's character?
Dill is supposedly a great actor, as he reenacted Dracula. He is also very persuasive, reason is because he persuaded scout and Jem to try and get Boo Radley out of the closet.
What, briefly, has happened to Arthur “Boo” Radley.
Aruthur started hanging out with a group of guys, the wrong group, and they started some trouble for led to Aruthur being put into some school which ended up being the best thing in his life. When released to go home by his father he stabbed his father's leg and stayed in the house for 15+ years.
Why does the Radley place fascinate Scout, Jem and Dill?
T he stories about the Radleys are still unknown to the them, and house is ghostlike in appearance; attracting the kids curiosity, especially Dill's.
What do you notice about the narrative voice and viewpoint in the novel?
Scout is tellling the story with her input from her life now and when she was younger.
