SHORT ANSWER QUESTION
Minimum 4-5 Sentences
Discuss the quote and
what is means for Elie’s faith: “Blessed art Thou, Eternal, Master of the
Universe…to be butchered on Thine altar.” (Pg. 64)
He is losing his faith.
EXTRA CREDIT: Should
the Jewish people fast for their holiday? Why or why not?
No, they shouldn’t,
but you can argue for both sides to this. Technically they’d been fasting all
year, any more they could die. That’s when they could fast- if the only REAL
redemption of that hell camp is death, then you can do it by starvation, to
death knowing you chose how you died, not them.
The "Short Answer" questions, are, ironically, supposed to be the longest answer. "He is losing his faith" is not enough. Why is he losing his faith? How do you know?
ReplyDeleteMetaphor: a comparison between two things without using "like" or "as" (ex. He is a peacock).
Simile: a comparison using "like" or "as" (ex. He looked LIKE a peacock).
