Summary:

Jem and Scout become the victim of whispers and glares, all because of the trail. Later Scout asks Je what rapes means and the subject of Calpurnia's Sunday church trip comes up. Aunt Alexandria tells Scout she cannot go back to that church and tells Atticus to fired Calpurnia for they no longer have any use for her. Atticus refuses.That night, Jem tells Scout not to antagonize Alexandra. Scout gets angry at being lectured and attacks Jem. Atticus breaks up the fight and sends them to bed. Scout discovers something under her bed. She calls Jem in and they discover Dill hiding there. Dill ran away from home because his parents never paid much attention to him. Jem tells Atticus of this and Atticus tells Jem to get some food for Dill. After this, Jem talks to Scout to make things up.
